-Accommodation & Activities-

SD Kruger Safaris has a number of concessions readily available to us, in which we have established good working relationships with the owners and tribal communities who maintain these properties. This has allowed us to develop a sense of pride for these wildlife areas, as well as get to know the land very well. All of our concessions are of the finest quality, and have outstanding trophy selection, wildlife, and luxurious accommodation.

Marakapula Reserve is our most used hunting camp. The lodge lies on the Selati River where hippos, elephants, and other wildlife may be viewed right from your chalet. The reserve is very large for SA (50,000 acres) and contains four of the Big 5, including elephant, lion, leopard, and buffalo. After the hunting day has ended, you can enjoy local beer or liquor by the fire, and eat the venison from your previous days work paired with some South African wine. There are seven chalets, all equipped with comfortable beds, running hot/cold water, baths overlooking the river, A/C, daily laundry, and WiFi at the lodge. All chalets are situated on the river so you can wake up to bushbucks getting a morning drink, or hear lions giving their last moans before sunrise.

If you seek game not commonly found in the area other reserves may be used, as commuting from lodge to hunting area would be too far. This being said, all of our hunting areas and lodges are carefully selected and held to the highest standards. Here are some examples of other camps we use:

Non-hunting Activities

We encourage you to bring your families. We love large parties, and there are many activities for non-hunters. Also, I have had the pleasure of working with many young hunters and first timers.
